WHAT TO EXPECT –
I love to start our time together getting to know each other a little! We’ll either meet on FaceTime or Zoom and get a feel for if we are a good fit!
Trust is the key and I love to start the relationship close and personal! I want to hear your vision and what you have in mind to make your session extra special and unique to you!
Location choice makes a BIG difference because it can dictate the feel and overall experience. Pick a location that is close to your heart! Perhaps there is a special place your family or your significant other loves to go to. Maybe you want to document that place and show how much it means to you!
Every session includes one location and some will include two!
The choice of your location can also dictate what you’ll wear. For instance, would you wear green to a forest? Think about colors that contrasts or makes you pop out! You can also think of colors that compliment your surrounding and are flattering as well!
General rules of thumb..
- If you want softer and more romantic photos, neutrals such as blush, tans, link pinks, faint blues and teals, creams, grays and whites will always result in more of a light and airy look to your images.
Come to the session dressed in your best and leave the rest to me! You don’t have to know how to pose! Just laugh with me when I ask you to, and I’ll guide and pose you to look the most flattering!
Because I’m a lifestyle photographer, I mix between “posed” and “unposed/action/movement” shots. The idea is to get those 3-4 photos to place on your walls – those with you smiling/laughing at the camera – and the rest will be photos will reflect all the fun you will experience in the session!
After the session and the goodbyes, it’s time to work on the computer! Did you know… for every hour we shoot it’s about 2-3 hrs of culling and editing? So our job doesn’t stop behind the camera! But… we always aim to please! Sooo.. expect:
Sneak Peek: 1-2 weeks
Gallery: 3-4 weeks
Both the sneak peek and the gallery will be in a personal album!! Feel free to share with your friends and family!!
Maybe a beautiful crafted album for every year – to show the growth and change of your kids is something you want. Or , maybe you’re looking to plaster photos on the wall to remind you of all the love and joys of the year! Or maybe just a simple wooden or glass box for your prints with a wooden photo stand is all you want!
These are just a few ways you can display the photos! Don’t just leave them on your computer! Give them a home! And to do that you simply have to click on the cart button in your gallery! You have access 24/7 to your personal store to fill your walls with dashes of color and fun!
Have you ever looked back at your childhood photos or even wedding pictures and said “I forgot about this!”? Well that’s how important photos are! Because one day, our kids will grow up or we just might forget that one point in time because we have so many more memories that might replace them! But ALL memories are important! And with photos, you’ll have something tangible to remind you and even bring you back to that point in time – to all the fun and all the excitement that made those memories so unique!

WARDROBE STYLING
Follow these tips for flawless photos!
WHAT TO WEAR
Neutrals such as blush, tans, light pinks, faint blues and teals, creams, grays and whites will always result in more of a light and airy look to your images. These colors photograph softer and more romantically!
For the girls, if you’re really looking for a soft, feminine look, I recommend a flowing, maxi-length dress or skirt! The movement of this type of fabric photographs beautifully! I also recommend that you wear something that flatters the parts of you that you love the most and also allows you to be extremely confident! If you are uncomfortable when you look in the mirror (having to suck in and only like the way you look from one angle), then that probably isn’t the best outfit choice for you. I want you to be really confident in your outfit because I know that you will love your portraits so much more if you’re not worrying about how your clothes fit!
For the guys, I recommend that you avoid patterns that are smaller than a dime! These small patterns can create strange visual effects in a digital camera. Close-toed shoes photograph well, and we recommend avoiding graphic tees and tennis shoes!
Remember… the goal is COORDINATING outfits instead of MATCHING! I also recommend avoiding both of you wearing WHITE as a top. White doesn’t allow for any contrast in your images.
FOR THE LITTLES
Like I said up above, COORDINATING outfits instead of MATCHING
If you have multiple children, don’t feel like you need to put them all in the same type of outfit. For example, if one of your daughters wears a dress and flats, the other can wear a skirt and boots, if that’s more of her style. If one of your sons wears a bowtie, the other can wear suspenders. Mixing up the wardrobe pieces will bring even more visual interest to the photos.

After the form is submitted, I’ll contact you to set up a consultation call or simply speaking, a meet and greet!
HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE?
The amount of images you receive will depend on the package! BUT EVERY SESSION contains only THE BEST photos – curated just for you!
Rest assured, you will get the absolute best – and they will be fully-edited high resolution files that you can enjoy for years to come!
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
As an outdoor/natural light photographer, we are definitely at the whim of the weather! Weather permitting, we will not cancel a session unless it is absolutely forecasted to rain – THE WHOLE DAY. If it for sure will rain, we can do one of 3 things.
1) Move the session indoor and do a cozy at-home-session with warm blankets and hot chocolate?
2) Reschedule the session for the next day!
3) If you don’t mind the rain, we can do rain too! Just need a few set of clear umbrellas, rain boots and we’re ready to go stomping around!
